fire hydrant timelapse
while walking in my neighborhood today, discovered this random fire hydrant, open and running.
no city supervision, no anything.
another woman stopped while i was photographing, to ask why her water was running full of dirt and with no pressure (she lived nearby). i don’t know, i said, it is just like this. no city workers? she asked. no, just the open hydrant, i told her.
and so it goes, in Pittsburgh, PA.
